Answer Inclusion Rate

Several distinct platforms where particles land; some retain dense luminous clusters while others scatter, symbolizing varying proportions of page content included in AI answers.
Answer Inclusion Rate is the proportion of a page's content incorporated into AI answers, measured at the page level rather than the brand level.

IN ONE SENTENCE

Answer inclusion rate is the share of answers that incorporate a specific page's content — measured at page level rather than brand level.

OUR POSITION

It is a page-level diagnostic for telling which page types get used and which were wasted effort. Brand-level mention rate cannot show this.

01

Attributing an answer to a page

Where citations are displayed, count directly by URL. Where they are not, match on answer wording against facts unique to the page — matched counts, unmatched does not. Do not guess.

Those unique facts are the mechanism: only data, naming or definitions that exist solely on your page can tie an answer back to it. This is a second argument for original data.

02

What decisions it drives

Whichever page type gets used, replicate that one. If a page type has never appeared in an answer, fix the template before producing more of it.

This is the argument for staged publishing: release a small batch covering each page type, read inclusion and ranking feedback, then decide whether to replicate it two hundred times.

03

Limits

On platforms that do not display sources this can only be estimated, with limited precision — not suitable as an externally committed metric.
